Where did you give birth? Home

How would your describe your birth overall in a few words? Empowering, positive, calm, powerful, gentle.

Tahnya’s birth story

I had a powerful positive birth. A highlight was sitting in the birth pool in the dark, but for a candle, kissing my partner and having that bring on contractions. Another highlight was her emergence, where I didn't push but just breathed calmly as she moved down and out.

I had my partner, my two midwives, my mum, my sister and my maiden girlfriend present.

It was my 4th and gentlest birth. A beautiful birth playlist, darkness with ambient lighting, confidence, inwards focus and breath helped me have a positive birth.

I felt elated but also somewhat underwhelmed as it was all just so normal and natural.

What tools/support did you use during birth?

Birth pool! The warm water was so soothing!
